Cyclopentane (C5H10) Detectors
We provide fixed cyclopentane gas detectors designed for continuous monitoring in production and storage areas. These detectors employ infrared (IR) and catalytic bead sensors for precise detection of vapour concentrations, delivering fast response times across explosive limit ranges. Routine calibration ensures ongoing accuracy and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
Our cyclopentane detectors from Crowcon are engineered for reliability, robust performance, and seamless integration into facility-wide monitoring systems. They are ideally suited to manufacturing and refrigeration environments where flammability control is a critical safety requirement.
Maintain safe operations and minimise explosion risks with our fixed cyclopentane detection systems for industrial applications.
Cyclopentane (C₅H₁₀) is a volatile hydrocarbon widely used as a blowing agent in polyurethane foam production, insulation materials, and refrigeration equipment. While an effective and environmentally friendlier replacement for some older blowing agents, cyclopentane is highly flammable and forms explosive mixtures with air. In poorly ventilated environments, vapour accumulation can create significant fire hazards. Short-term exposure may also cause dizziness, headaches, or nausea due to central nervous system effects.
