Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a powerful oxidiser widely used in pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, food processing, and electronics manufacturing. While valuable in industrial processes, concentrated H₂O₂ is hazardous: it can cause severe irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract, and at high concentrations is a strong oxidising agent capable of triggering combustion in contact with organic materials.
