Senko DuoTracer is designed to increase coverage while reducing the number of devices in the field. Two sensor channels (Ch-A and Ch-B) allow simultaneous monitoring and display of two gases, enabling safety teams to configure combinations that align with specific process, confined space or general workplace risks. This dual-gas capability means one detector can address multiple hazards, helping to reduce equipment weight, simplify assignment and encourage consistent use.

A wide sensor portfolio supports oxygen, combustible gases such as methane and a broad range of toxic gases, including options for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide and other common industrial hazards. Available non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensors for methane and carbon dioxide provide stable, low-maintenance performance in applications where long-term combustible or CO₂ monitoring is required, while an optional wide-range carbon monoxide sensor supports higher-exposure environments. This flexibility allows standardisation on a single platform even where gas risks differ between areas.

DuoTracer is engineered for daily use in hazardous zones where mechanical impact, dust and moisture are routine. Its rubberised polycarbonate housing resists everyday knocks and rough handling, while IP67 waterproof and dustproof sealing supports operation in wet or dusty worksites and environments with moderate contamination. The detector is designed to operate across typical industrial temperature, humidity and pressure ranges, maintaining reliable performance in both hot and cold conditions, and in atmospheres where dust and occasional condensation are present.

Explosion-proof approvals to recognised international standards, along with CE conformity, support deployment in classified hazardous areas across multiple regions. This allows organisations to roll out a consistent personal gas monitoring platform across multinational operations and to align detector selection with corporate safety and compliance policies.

The easy-to-read LCD provides real-time gas concentration readings for both channels alongside additional status information. Maximum and minimum values can be reviewed to support exposure assessment, while clear indicators show alarm status, calibration status, battery condition and remaining battery life so that device readiness is easy to verify at the start of a shift.

When gas levels cross configured thresholds, DuoTracer activates a multi-sensory alarm system that combines a loud audible buzzer, bright LEDs and vibration alerts. This approach improves the likelihood that alarms are noticed quickly in noisy, low-visibility or high-distraction environments. The detector also records recent alarm events, creating a record that can be used for incident investigation, safety audits and continuous improvement of site procedures.

DuoTracer has been designed to keep operation straightforward and training requirements low. Single-button control simplifies use, including by gloved personnel, while the compact form factor and approximate 200 g weight minimise burden on the wearer. An integrated clip enables secure attachment to clothing, belts or helmets for hands-free protection throughout the working day.

A replaceable 3.6 V lithium thionyl chloride primary cell provides long-term power with minimal user intervention. Battery life is optimised for typical 8-hour daily use and is particularly efficient when wireless features are not required, reducing the frequency of battery changes and associated device handling. Versions fitted with NDIR sensors are configured to support practical maintenance intervals consistent with their higher power requirements.

Senko DuoTracer supports both wireless and PC-based administration to streamline fleet management. Bluetooth connectivity enables configuration and data handling via the SENKO GTG Device Manager mobile application, supporting field-based setup, review of event logs and access to key device information without removing detectors from use. IR LINK capability provides a PC interface for more detailed configuration, calibration and data management, supported by dedicated software tools that simplify alarm point adjustments and data downloads.

For larger fleets, the Dock DUO multi-unit docking station automates routine bump testing and calibration. It recognises connected detectors, manages test gas flow and can apply firmware and configuration updates, helping to keep devices aligned with current standards and site practices. This controlled, repeatable process reduces manual intervention, shortens service windows and supports consistent maintenance records across multiple units.

DuoTracer incorporates event logging and straightforward data download functions to assist with compliance documentation and exposure record-keeping. Safety managers can use these records to demonstrate adherence to internal procedures, support investigations and plan preventive maintenance activities.
