Ethyl Ether (C4H10O) Detectors
We provide fixed ethyl ether gas detectors designed for continuous monitoring in laboratories, storage facilities, and manufacturing environments. These detectors employ infrared (IR) or catalytic bead sensors for fast and accurate detection of vapour concentrations across explosive ranges. Regular calibration ensures reliable performance and compliance with workplace safety standards.
Our range includes fixed systems from Crowcon, offering robust design, precision sensing, and easy integration into facility-wide safety networks.
Safeguard workers and reduce fire risks with our fixed ethyl ether detection systems for laboratories and chemical industries.
Ethyl ether (C₄H₁₀O), also known as diethyl ether, is a highly volatile solvent with widespread use in pharmaceuticals, laboratories, and chemical manufacturing. Historically used as an anaesthetic, today it is mainly applied as a solvent and extraction agent. Despite its industrial value, ethyl ether poses serious risks: it is extremely flammable, with vapours that can form explosive mixtures with air, and prolonged storage may lead to the formation of unstable peroxides. Short-term exposure can also cause irritation, dizziness, or central nervous system effects.
